Kirsty Young
RVN
Biography
Kirsty Young is Head of Veterinary & Animal Sciences at Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC). She is a Registered Veterinary Nurse with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), has a Master of Science in Veterinary Education from Royal Veterinary College, and is Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her areas of interest include veterinary nursing clinical decisions and evidence-based patient care, and she has led veterinary nursing curriculum development, and programme validation and accreditation for over 20 years. She has been successfully awarded PhD and pedagogic projects, is co-Chair of the Veterinary Sciences Board of Studies and sits on SRUC Academic Board. Kirsty has also chaired veterinary nursing accreditation panels for RCVS, reviewing programmes across the United Kingdom.
