Anita Bickerdike
Biography
Anita has a deep passion for developing people to maximise their potential, improve professional standards and increase the success of organisations and membership bodies. Recognised for a positive, collaborative approach, Anita worked as a solicitor in private practice and with the Ministry of Justice where she was responsible for the provision of legal services and the recruitment and training of lawyers and magistrates. An accomplished leader, trainer and coach, she is experienced in strategy development, and organisational and cultural change at strategic board level. From 2013 as an independent consultant, she engaged with a wider audience across business sectors, working in the UK and Europe with corporate bodies, financial institutions, government departments and independent regulators. Anita worked in dynamic environments with people from across the organisation from Board members to those on the front line of service delivery; guiding and supporting leaders to ensure proper governance, implement cultural change, overcome challenges, and continuously improve professional standards.
As a Non executive Director and Independent Chair, she worked with national governing bodies, government departments and charitable organisations to develop and communicate clear strategic leadership, focus on activities to deliver policy objectives, and ensure public confidence.
Anita has a life long interest in the welfare and care of animals, having cared for a variety of farm and domestic animals. She enjoys an outdoor life style, is a keen walker, loves music and sings with the local choir.
