Darren Tysoe
Chief Digital Officer
Biography
Darren joins the RCVS at an exciting time, with its physical move from the Belgravia office and the transition to temporary offices and later location at Clerkenwell. The Digital Team, includes network, service desk, development, and data services.
In his first year, Darren will be reviewing the Digital Strategy to ensure it meets the needs of its members and staff and will deliver key projects which align with the College’s Strategic Plan. Projects are likely to include the development of mobile and web applications which support veterinary professionals with accessing professional development tools in an accessible way and on various platforms. The internal business systems will be reviewed to ensure they meet current and future requirements, including the provision of key information to decision-makers in digestible and modernised formats. Darren will keep an eye on developing technologies to ensure that the College continues to champion and lead on new technologies.
Prior to joining the RCVS, Darren worked at universities, higher education institutes and further education colleges in CIO and IT Director positions. In Darren’s earlier career, he led e-learning teams and worked as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in IT and Business.
