Mrs Jennifer Wright BVSc CertSAM CertAVP(VC) MRCVS
Biography
Jenny graduated from the University of Bristol in 2005. After two years in mixed practice in rural Cornwall, she moved back to Bristol and completed a year of maternity cover in small animal general practice before moving to an RCVS accredited hospital practice with six satellite branches in 2008.
She remains working there and obtained a Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2010, a GP Certificate in Small Animal Cardiology in 2013 and a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in 2023. She also co-authored a research project on arterial thromboembolism in cats in 2014. She is currently studying for her Cardiology designation exams and working towards Advanced Practitioner status in Cardiology.
Jenny has been one of four Clinical Directors of her corporate owned practice since 2012 and went on to successfully lead the Clinical Director team from 2017-2019. She stepped down from the lead role in 2020 following the birth of her second child and has since worked part-time. Jenny has gained valuable experience in leadership and business management and is passionate about working with people. She also works in Emergency and Critical Care practice at weekends.
Jenny is a general practice enthusiast, enjoying the mixture of routine work with more complicated medicine and cardiology cases. She enjoys teaching and mentoring to her associates in addition to her day-to-day management and leadership activities.
Her family keep her busy when she is not working and studying. In her remaining free time, she enjoys her voluntary children’s work at her church as well as walking in the woods and reading.
