Dr Bradley Viner BVetMed MSc(VetGP) DProf FRCVS
Biography
Bradley qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1978 and after a year working as an assistant established his own small animal practice in Pinner, Middlesex. This grew to a group of five practices in North West London, employing approximately 40 support staff and nine veterinary surgeons. In 2017 he sold his practices to the Linnaeus Group (now owned by Mars Petcare), and he now works as Clinical Governance Lead across their practices.
He has been involved in a wide variety of media and PR work on radio, television, books and the press. He is best known within the veterinary profession for his regular 'Reflections' column in the Veterinary Times.
His passion is for recognition of the skills required to become an advanced general practitioner, and to that end completed an MSc and then a Professional Doctorate with Middlesex University, concentrating on the application of clinical auditing to the veterinary profession. He was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2017 for Meritorious Contributions to Clinical Practice.
Bradley was an elected member of RCVS Council between 2005 and 2017, including three years as RCVS Treasurer and one year as RCVS President.
