Dr James Wallace BVMS,GPCertEqP CertEM(IntMed) MRCVS
Biography
Having graduated from Glasgow University Veterinary School in 1998 with a focus on equine practice and marine mammals, James spent 18 months in mixed practice in his native Aberdeenshire. In 2000, he moved to equine practice in Yorkshire doing first opinion equine practice and referral dentistry. During this time, he complete his ESVPS certificate in equine practice. He moved to MBM Equine in 2004 and then completed his RCVS certificate in equine internal medicine, later becoming an RCVS recognised advanced practitioner in equine internal medicine and developing a cardiology, oncology, and ophthalmology referral service.
James has a keen interest in clinical research including equine clinical parasitology, ophthalmology, gastro-enterology, and disease surveillance. He is also an examiner for RCVS OSCE exams and a member of the RCVS Disciplinary Committee. He has been heavily involved with CPD provision being a director of the Scottish Vet Fair and co-founder of the Vets4NHS charity CPD series.
James is married with 3 children and 2 Labradors and he practices and teaches martial arts (Aikido, Aiado, BattaroKenjutsu, and Jujitsu).
