The RCVS Leavers survey
The RCVS is surveying those who choose to leave the UK veterinary and veterinary nursing professions.
Why is this research being conducted?
The aim of the survey is to provide the RCVS with more information about those who are leaving the profession, including the reasons they have for leaving, their future plans, and the possibility of returning to the profession. The survey results will be used by the RCVS to understand the changing veterinary workforce and to inform future workforce planning.
Who can complete the survey?
Anyone who is leaving the RCVS Register or VN Register, or is moving from the UK Practising category to another category, including the Non Practising and Practising outside of the UK categories, will be sent a link to complete the survey.
Do I have to take part?
The survey is voluntary, and participants are not required to answer every question.
Can we use mobile phones to do the survey?
Yes, the survey can be completed on a mobile device, tablet, or desktop computer.
Who will have access to the research data?
Data will only be accessible to the Research Team at the RCVS. No one outside of the team will see individual responses to the survey. Results will only be analysed and reported at a level that does not allow identification of individuals in any way.
If you would like to know more about the how the research data will be treated and processed, please see the full Privacy Notice
Who can I contact if I have any questions about the survey?
