We appoint a new HR Director
4 September 2017
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Kim Cleland as our new Director of Human Resources. Kim joins the College from Diageo, the global drinks producer, where she had worked in various roles since 2008, including most recently Head of HR, Functions.
Kim has both an MSc in Marketing & Management and a BSc in Social Psychology from Loughborough University, and is already working on redeveloping some of the College’s internal systems to make them more efficient, clear, and fit for purpose.
Nick Stace, RCVS CEO, said: “We are delighted that Kim has joined us as Director of HR. There are many exciting projects underway at the College working to deliver the best possible service for the veterinary professions, the public, and animal health and welfare, and that kind of change is only made possible by having happy, well-supported staff.”
On discussing her appointment, Kim said: “I am thrilled to join the College, an organisation that has demonstrated its wish to improve the workplace by moving up the ranks in the Great Place to Work Survey (coming 23rd last year), and its recent commitment to becoming a Stonewall Diversity Champion.
“I am particularly excited about finding ways to support College staff in their careers, improving leadership capability, and maximising our ability to recruit the best people for the job.”
