VN student enrolment suspended at five VNACs
26 July 2005
The enrolment of student veterinary nurses at the following approved veterinary nursing approved centres (VNACs) and their affiliated training practices is currently suspended:
- Barony College, Dumfries
- Berkshire College
- Bicton College, Devon
- Bristol University
- Earl's Hall Veterinary Group, Essex
In most cases, the suspension of enrolments will be temporary and likely to be resolved shortly. However, both Bicton College and Berkshire College have now withdrawn from NVQ provision (although they still remain approved course providers for Veterinary Nursing VRQ courses).
If you are a prospective VN student wishing to enrol at a practice supported by any of the above centres, an enrolled VN student wishing to move to such a practice, or you are intending to undertake a full-time veterinary nursing course at any of the above colleges, please contact the Veterinary Nursing Department for advice.
VN students already in training, i.e. those with an RCVS enrolment number, may continue with their current NVQ awards. The RCVS has ensured that measures are in place to assure that all enrolled students are adequately supported.
