Veterinary legislation consultation – last chance to respond
15 October 2009
Proposals from Council regarding priorities for change to the current veterinary legislation have been open for consultation since mid-July – the closing date for responses is 21 October.
The Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 affects all veterinary surgeons working in the UK – yet to date we have only received 22 responses to the consultation (albeit that some of these are from representative bodies).
It’s not too late to have your say on the issues at stake: composition of the Preliminary Investigation and Disciplinary Committees; jurisdiction and powers of the two committees; and, the composition of Council itself.
