Trust sponsors 2nd Annual Veterinary Education Symposium
12 July 2011
We are pleased to be supporting the 2nd Annual Veterinary Education Symposium in Nottingham on 13-14 July - an exciting event that is aimed primarily at veterinary educators, whether they are teaching in a vet school or are a vet in practice.
This year's focus is on Innovation and we hope that the delegates will be inspired by the excellent programme on offer.
Attendance is particularly encouraged from veterinary surgeons delivering EMS, although there will be some undergraduate and PhD students attending too.
The organising committee for this event is hoping to maintain the momentum created by the first event at the Royal Veterinary College in 2010, and to rotate it annually around the various veterinary schools in the UK.
This year, keynote speakers will be Sir Peter Rubin (Chairman of the General Medical Council) who will discuss curriculum innovations within regulatory frameworks; Gary England, who will provide an update on progress at Nottingham University's new veterinary school; and, Andrew Gardiner who will present a historical perspective of veterinary educational innovations.
Three very relevant topics in this Vet2011 celebratory year!
