Tour de Vets cyclists exceed £10,000 target for charity
17 October 2003
The Tour de Vets team who cycled from London to Edinburgh to raise money for veterinary charities, have exceeded their target of £10,000.
Just three weeks after their triumphant arrival at BVA Congress in Edinburgh, funds raised to date total just under £12,000 and donations are still being received at a steady pace.
RCVS Senior Vice President, Stephen Ware who has raised over £5,000 for the RCVS Trust said, "Tour de Vets has been a great success all round both in terms of the money raised and the collaborative spirit with which the whole project was undertaken.
"I would particularly like to thank the participants for the considerable time and effort they put into the event, and all our donors whose generosity has meant that we have raised significant funds for our chosen charities."
