Talk all about it – ‘Question Time’ meeting in Leeds
7 February 2012
If you’re a veterinary surgeon or veterinary nurse (VN) working in the Leeds area, then look out for your invitation to an ‘RCVS Question Time’ (pictured) on Thursday 8 March at the Mercure Leeds Parkway Hotel.
As well as a chance to meet other local vets and VNs over a buffet supper, this is an opportunity to ask the RCVS whatever you like about the regulation of your professions, as the RCVS President, Jerry Davies, and other RCVS and VN Council members will be there to give some answers.
We don’t set formal agendas for these meetings as we’d prefer to hear from you what your burning issues are.
If you cannot attend, though, you are welcome to send questions to us beforehand and we’ll answer these at the meeting – as well as sending you our answer.
At similar recent meetings, the topics discussed have included, for example, veterinary legislation, the regulation of veterinary nurses and the new draft Codes of Professional Conduct.
There are also 45-minute ‘surgeries’ on offer for veterinary practices accredited with – or considering joining – the voluntary Practice Standards Scheme (PSS).
These will take place from 1-5pm at the same hotel, and are available on a first-booked, first-served basis.
The evening will start at 6:30pm with a buffet and drinks, with the meeting itself starting at 7:15pm.
For further information, to book a place, or to request a PSS surgery, please contact Fiona Harcourt ([email protected] or 020 7202 0773).
If you won’t be able to attend but have a question you’d like answered, please email it to Fiona.
