'Surgery' open for Practice Standards Scheme questions
15 September 2008
Veterinary practices in South Wales have the opportunity to attend a Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) ‘surgery’ on Thursday 27 November.
RCVS President Jill Nute, PSS Manager Eleanor Ferguson and PSS Inspector Pam Mosedale will be available for free 30-minute confidential appointments to answer any questions or problems practices may have regarding the Scheme.
Whether a practice is currently accredited or is considering joining the Scheme, veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and practice staff are all welcome to attend the surgery sessions, which will be held at Miskin Manor Country Hotel and Health Club, near Cardiff, between 1pm and 5pm.
Jill Nute, who is also Chairman of the PSS Group, commented: “This is a good opportunity for anyone in the Cardiff area who has a query about the Practice Standards Scheme to come and see us for an informal one-to-one chat.
"If practices have any concerns regarding an upcoming inspection, are new to the Scheme or thinking about applying, and would like some advice, we are here to help.”
To book a 30-minute appointment, between 1pm and 5pm, please contact Fiona Harcourt on 020 7202 0773 before Friday 7 November. Places are limited, and on a first-come, first-served basis.
The RCVS Officer team will also be at Miskin Manor on the evening on 27 November, taking questions at RCVS Question Time. Further details and information on how to book your place will be available on the Regional Question Times page soon.
