RVPP fees to drop by 15%
10 April 2013
Note: This article (originally published on 13 March 2013) was amended on 10 April 2013 with the payment deadline date changed from 1 April to end of April. Letters regarding the annual registration of the Veterinary Practice Premises and the Practice Standards Scheme will be arriving on your door mats within in the next seven working days. Your payment will then be required by the end of April. If you have any questions at all regarding this, please contact the Registration Department on 020 7202 0767. Alternatively you can email [email protected].
We’re pleased to announce that the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) has agreed to our request for a 15 per cent reduction in the joining/re-registration fee for the inclusion of practice premises on the Register of Veterinary Practice Premises (RVPP), which we hold on the VMD’s behalf.
“Now the register is well established, and after careful calculation of the overheads involved in collecting these fees and maintaining the register, we have been able to justify a reduction in the RVPP fee, which I'm sure will be welcomed by practitioners,” says RCVS President Jacqui Molyneux.
The RVPP joining/re-registration fee is due by the end of April for the year ahead, and will reduce from £40 to £34. For Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) practices, we will shortly send out invoices for the PSS fee, which includes the cost of the RVPP.
Veterinary surgeons may only supply veterinary medicines from registered premises, and we write to all practices that do not renew their RVPP entry.
Practice premises that do not pay their registration fees in any year are recorded as inactive, and their details are then provided to the VMD.
Practices unsure whether their premises are registered for this year, or which have any other query about practice premises registration, can contact the Registration Department (020 7202 0767 or [email protected]).
