Reminder for members on non-practising status
29 April 2022
We would like to remind our members that if you are retired and/or no longer practising as a veterinary surgeon, then you are able to change your membership status to ‘non-practising’ by making a signed declaration to confirm you are no longer practising.
Those with non-practising member status pay a reduced annual renewal fee and can retain the postnominal M/FRCVS under the Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Practitioners (Registration) Regulations.
Furthermore, any non-practising member who is aged 70 or over as at 1 April on any given year, can change their membership category to ‘non-practising 70+’ meaning that they no longer have to pay any renewal fee.
For more information about changing registration category please contact our Registration Department on 020 7202 0707 or [email protected]
