RCVS Trust supports SPVS Final Year Student Seminar
9 September 2009
For the fifth year, RCVS Trust was delighted to be a principal sponsor of the annual SPVS Final Year Seminar for UK veterinary students, held at the University of Lancaster.
The Lancaster Final Year Student Seminar took place on 3-6 September. Early analysis indicates it was a great success again with students rating highly the quality of the programme, as well as the chance to meet and mix with members of the profession, sponsors and other students.
Course organiser and SPVS Council Member Michael Clarke said: “The event is designed to be a 'one profession' event uniting as many organisations as possible involved in veterinary work to provide an interesting and informative few days. Student registration costs are kept to a minimum to encourage participation. The support of organisations such as the RCVS Trust is key in allowing this to happen.”
RCVS Trust Director Cherry Bushell added, “We are pleased to have sponsored the Final Year Seminar for veterinary students to the tune of £39,300 over the past five years. We hope the additional skills and tips gained at the event will be of great use to students as they start their veterinary careers.”
