RCVS Trust launches new Travel Scholarship round
4 April 2007
The RCVS Trust is delighted to launch a second Travel Scholarship round this year.
Travel scholarships are available for veterinary surgeons wishing to:
- Attend international veterinary conferences
- Pursue themes of clinical or non-clinical research involving short-term visits to veterinary or medical centres or research institutes abroad
Marnie Brennan who was awarded a Travel Scholarship in March said "My RCVS Trust Travel Scholarship enabled me to attend a conference in Finland where I presented my PhD research in large animal epidemiology. These conferences are important not only for presenting your findings, but for generating new ideas about your work and examining what other research groups are doing around the world, potentially setting up collaborations with other researchers. From a personal perspective, learning about how others present their work and discussing new ideas with peers and colleagues puts you in a great position to generate future prospects."
The deadline for this round is 20 July and disbursements will be made from September onwards.
The Trust is exhibiting at BSAVA Congress in April where application packs will also be available.
