Question Time meeting on 19 May in Inverness
3 May 2011
Members of the veterinary practice team are invited to put their questions to RCVS Officers at a Regional Question Time meeting on 19 May at the Ramada Hotel, Inverness.
At this meeting, RCVS President Peter Jinman and his fellow Officers and Council members, will listen to veterinary concerns and discuss issues currently affecting the profession.
Topics for discussion are guided by the questions raised, however, at a similar meeting in March, participants asked about continuing professional development; expectations of veterinary surgeons regarding work/life balance and out-of-hours requirements; and, resolving conflicts between professional responsibilities and employers’ demands.
All veterinary surgeons and nurses working in the local area have been invited, and the meeting is open to anyone working in the veterinary team.
The evening will start at 6.30pm, with a finger-buffet, and the question session starts at 7.15pm.
RCVS Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) ‘surgeries’ will also be held at the hotel earlier on the same day.
These are free, 45-minute sessions offered on a one-to-one basis with a PSS inspector, and open to practices thinking of joining the Scheme, or those who are PSS-accredited and need some advice about an inspection.
Places for the evening meeting, or a PSS surgery, can be booked on a first-come, first-served basis by contacting Fiona Harcourt on [email protected] or 020 7202 0773.
