RCVS invites undergraduate veterinary students to participate in ‘Fellows of the Future’ competition
4 October 2022
The RCVS is inviting undergraduate veterinary students, including those who have just completed their undergraduate studies and graduated no earlier than 2021, to present their original research as part of the ‘Fellows of the Future’ competition.
The competition will be run as part of Fellowship Day, taking place on 11 November 2022 at The Royal Institution in London. ‘Fellows of The Future’ applicants will be invited to present their research live to the audience and judging panel in a presentation lasting no longer then five minutes. The presentation that receives the highest number of votes form the panel of judges will be awarded a prize.
Director of The Advancement of the Professions, Angharad Belcher, said “We are delighted to be running our ‘Fellows of the Future’ competition as part of Fellowship Day again this year. The RCVS Fellowship celebrates people who have made outstanding contributions to the veterinary profession and the ‘Fellows of the Future’ competition is designed to inspire the next generation of RCVS Fellows.
“In the past students have submitted research on a wide range of areas of veterinary study, ranging from gene editing to trophoblast migration. We’re very much looking forward to seeing what our new generation of vets will have in store for us this year.”
The deadline for submissions for the ‘Fellows of the Future’ competition is Friday, 7 October 2022. Successful applicants will be informed during the week commencing 17 October 2022. Please note that all shortlisted finalists will be invited to attend Fellowship Day.
