RCVS Day to go ahead
7 July 2005
Following the tragic events that occurred in central London this morning, arrangements for RCVS Day, scheduled to be held tomorrow (8 July 2005), have been revised.
The Annual General Meeting will still be held, providing that a quorum of 12 RCVS members is able to attend. The AGM will commence at 10am as planned.
An Awards Ceremony (which does not require a quorum) will also be held for any award winners, and their guests, who are able and willing to make the journey into Westminster in the morning.
Some of these award winners have already travelled considerable distances to receive their awards so it is only right that they have the opportunity to receive their awards if they so choose.
However, another RCVS Awards Ceremony will be held later in the year for people who are unable to attend tomorrow's meeting. Arrangements for this ceremony will be announced in due course.
RCVS Day will be held at the original venue: Church House, Westminster, London.
