RCVS Day 2013 - video highlights now online
28 August 2013
Following the success of this year’s RCVS Day – our annual general meeting and awards ceremony – we have published a short film on our YouTube channel featuring some of the highlights of the event, including award holders, new Council Members, key speakers and the inauguration of the new RCVS President, Neil Smith.
“We’re very aware that comparatively few members of the profession ever get the chance to attend RCVS Day – our main event of the year – as it’s held during the working week, so we wanted to provide a flavour of the day,” says Lizzie Lockett, Head of Communications.
“It also gives us another chance to highlight the tremendous achievements of those in, or affiliated with, the veterinary and veterinary nursing professions who received RCVS awards on the day, and to encourage people to think about nominations for next year’s awards,” she adds.
There are still over two weeks to go before the 13 September deadline for nominations for the 2014 RCVS Honours and Awards Round, and we are keen to hear about any individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the veterinary sphere.
Further details about how to make a nomination are available at www.rcvs.org.uk/honours.
