RCVS Day 2012 - celebrating high standards
15 June 2012
RCVS Day – our Annual General Meeting and Presentation of Awards – will be held on Friday 6 July 2012 at the Royal College of Physicians, London. (Please note: this is a change of venue from previous years.)
All members and listed/registered veterinary nurses are invited to attend the day, which will start at 10am with AGM business.
The following honours will then be awarded, along with Fellowships, Diplomas and veterinary nursing and RCVS Charitable Trust awards:
- Dr Douglas McGregor, from Cornell University, USA, who will receive an Honorary Associateship
- Mr Thomas Hildebrandt MRCVS, from the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research, who will receive an Honorary Fellowship
- Professor Lance Lanyon CBE MRCVS, from the Royal Veterinary College, who will receive an Honorary Fellowship
Dr Jerry Davies will chair the AGM in his last official engagement as President. He will formally welcome new members of RCVS Council and VN Council and give a review of his busy year, before handing over to Mrs Jacqui Molyneux who will serve as President for 2012-2013.
The morning will end with a talk entitled ‘Toads and Tamanduas - a Career in Zoo and Wildlife Medicine,’ given by Mr Graham Crawshaw, Senior Veterinarian at Toronto Zoo.
