RCVS Careers Afternoon provides useful information for aspiring vets
17 July 2003
On Thursday 10th July, RCVS held a Careers Afternoon for students aged 15-17. Around 80 attended to hear presentations on the UCAS form and entry to veterinary school, a student's perspective of the undergraduate degree course, veterinary research and pathology, life in practice and working with zoo animals. A representative from the Royal Army Veterinary Corps was also present to answer questions on life as an army vet.
The feedback from those who attended was extremely positive.
RCVS will hold another Careers Afternoon in July 2004. Details will be posted on the RCVS website early next year.
