RCVS Academy re-launches 'RVN Starting Out' course with fresh content
29 October 2024
The RCVS Academy is pleased to announce the launch of a newly updated version of the popular course, RVN starting out. As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality learning, we actively listen to the feedback we receive from our learners and use it to continuously improve our courses.
This re-launch reflects the insights shared by veterinary nurses who have already engaged with the course, helping us enhance both the content and the overall learning experience.
The revised RVN starting out course includes four key modules: Getting Started; Gaining Confidence; Working in a Team; and Developing Your Career. Each module is designed to take between 30 and 45 minutes to complete and can be accessed at any time, allowing learners to fit the course around their busy schedules.
The course is designed for newly registered veterinary nurses to help develop their professional capabilities, ensuring they become confident, competent, and independent members of their veterinary teams.
By completing the course, RVNs will fulfil their first few hours of continuing professional development (CPD) as part of their annual CPD requirement.
RVN starting out is free to access for all veterinary nurses. To access the course, log in using your MyAccount details at academy.rcvs.org.uk
