'Old-style' RCVS Certificates: deadline approaching
10 September 2010
Calling all candidates who have not yet applied for final approval of their experience. Time is quickly running out for candidates aiming to achieve the ‘old style’ RCVS Certificate. The last of these examinations will be held in 2012 with no further re-sits available.
If you are currently enrolled for the old style Certificate but you have not yet applied for final approval of your experience and permission to enter for the examination, you have two more opportunities to do so. You are strongly advised to have an attempt at the examination next year.
The next deadline for you to apply for final approval of experience is 1 November 2010.
Candidates are required to complete and submit a Form E2 together with copies of CPD records for the relevant period and for some subjects, submit case logs and/or certified lists of techniques and procedures (please refer to the Specific Guidance Notes to Candidates (document B2) in the relevant subject information folder in the Certificates section.
Where enrolments are due to expire and a candidate has had one, but fewer than three, attempts, consideration will be given to an enrolment extension on payment of an administration fee (currently £64.00).
If you are not ready to enter for the old-style Certificate, you may wish to transfer to the new modular Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice. (Contact the Education Department for more information: [email protected])
