New Postgraduate Dean post available at the RCVS
7 April 2014
The RCVS is currently looking for a new Postgraduate Dean to help guide recently graduated veterinary surgeons through their Professional Development Phase (PDP).
The PDP is a structured self-assessment system for graduates in their first year or so of practice and the four current Postgraduate Deans are responsible for checking graduates’ progress, responding to queries, monitoring learning records and confirming completion of the phase.
Due to a recent increase in student numbers, we are now looking for a fifth Postgraduate Dean to make sure that a consistent level of support is available for every graduate.
The Postgraduate Dean will be expected to have a broad range of experience in general practice – including small animal and farm or mixed practice – as well as experience of advising students or supporting new graduates.
A CV and covering letter indicating how you meet the job specification needs to be sent to [email protected]. NB the deadline has been extended to 5pm on Thursday 8 May 2014.
