IFAW Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal – how can you help?
24 February 2023
We have been deeply saddened by the catastrophic Turkey-Syria earthquakes which have occurred over the past couple of weeks.
The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), a global non-profit which helps animals and their families impacted by disasters worldwide, has been working tirelessly to provide emergency aid to the hardest-hit communities.
By working with local animal rescue teams, it hopes to take action on the following priorities:
- Emergency interventions for displaced animals
- Veterinary triage for injured animals
- Field assessments to identify unmet animal needs
The IFAW have already done so much to help improve the situation as best it can, but there is still so much more to be done and, as temperatures are still low and clean up operations continue, ongoing support will be required for many months to come.
To find out more about the IFAW’s urgent appeal, including what is being done and how to donate, visit the IFAW website.
