How far did you go?
17 August 2011
Over the last few months, we have given out free pedometers to veterinary nurses (and some competitive vets!), as part of the veterinary nursing Golden Jubilee celebrations.
The purpose of the exercise (no pun intended…) was to find out how far a VN typically walks during a day in practice.
We aim to use the information to help explain to animal owners the extent and variety of a veterinary nurse’s role, and we will feature the person who walks the furthest in a typical shift on our website.
Sadly, however, although many people asked for pedometers and faithfully promised to let us know how far they go… we have only had a small number coming back with a figure!
We would be grateful if you could email us before the end of August to say how many steps you typically take, so that we can use this information to help promote the role of VNs to the public, as part of our celebrations this year.
Step to it..! And many thanks to those who have already joined in.
