Focus on Practice Standards Scheme future at SPVS/VPMA Congress
18 December 2013
We will be discussing the future of the Practice Standards Scheme at the 2014 joint Congress for the Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons (SPVS) and the Veterinary Practice Management Association (VPMA).
The SPVS/VPMA Congress takes place at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales, on Friday 31 January and Saturday 1 February 2014. At 8.45am on the Saturday Pam Mosedale, member of the Practice Standards Group, will be giving a talk entitled ‘PSS: What will it look like in 2015?’
This presentation will discuss how the ongoing review of the Practice Standards Scheme is aiming to make the initiative more flexible and focused on behaviours and clinical outcomes, as well as the benefits these changes will bring to both the profession and the public. No booking is necessary to attend.
We will also be holding free 45-minute surgeries with PSS Inspector Bob Lehner at the SPVS/VPMA Congress. Those practices which wish to find out more about the Scheme, need help with an upcoming inspection or want to ensure they are meeting the Core Standards, should book a slot. Places are limited, and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition, we will have a stand at the Congress where members of the profession can stop by to pick up some literature or talk to a member of staff from the College.
To book a PSS surgery please contact Fiona Harcourt on [email protected] or 020 7202 0773.
21/01/14 - Please note:
The time of the talk given on Saturday 1 February entitled ‘PSS: What will it look like in 2015?’ has changed from the previously advertised time of 9am to 8.45am.
