Free webinar on proposed new Royal Charter
19 December 2013
Veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses wishing to find out more about the RCVS proposed new Royal Charter will have the opportunity to do so during a free online webinar.
We recently launched a consultation on the draft new Charter – the first in over 40 years – and the live-audio webinar, hosted by the Webinar Vet, will allow members of the professions to pose their questions to Kathy Kissick, Chairman of VN Council, and Gordon Hockey, RCVS Registrar.
The proposed new Charter better describes the purpose of the RCVS and would also make the College the formal regulator of the veterinary nursing profession. This would have a direct effect on listed veterinary nurses as they would move to the regulated Register of Veterinary Nurses, would have to abide by the Code of Professional Conduct for Veterinary Nurses and be subject to the RCVS disciplinary process.
The webinar takes place at 8.30pm on Tuesday 21 January. Please visit www.thewebinarvet.com/rcvs to sign up.
You can download the consultation document for the proposed new Royal Charter. The deadline for responses is Friday 7 February.
