Final reminder for payment of 2003 retention fee
13 August 2003
Some 900 members of the RCVS have not yet paid their retention fee for 2003.
Whilst appreciating that this is most likely to be an oversight, these members must pay their retention fee before Monday 1 September 2003 otherwise their names will be removed from the Register of Members on or about that date. They would therefore no longer be permitted to practise veterinary surgery legally in the UK and their professional indemnity insurance may be invalidated.
We would urge any member who is unsure whether or not they have paid their fee to contact the Membership Department (020 7202 0707). We would particularly urge practices to check that all veterinary surgeons in their employ have paid their retention fee.
Of particular concern this year is that some 260 members listed as being resident and practising in the UK have not paid their retention fee and, of these, 113 are UK graduates.
