Final chance to submit poster presentation abstracts for upcoming Mind Matters Mental Health Research Symposium
13 March 2025
This autumn, our Mind Matters Initiative (MMI) is hosting its fifth biennial veterinary mental health research symposium, which also coincides with MMI’s tenth anniversary. The event will take place on 10 October 2025 at the Eastside Rooms, Birmingham, UK, and bring together researchers from around the globe and at all career stages to share their work.
While the official abstract submission deadline for oral presentations has passed, the deadline for poster abstract submissions has been extended until 11:59 pm on Friday, 4 April 2025.
MMI welcomes submissions from the veterinary community as well as related fields (such as human healthcare, medicine, science, and agriculture) that contribute to veterinary mental health research. This includes veterinary surgeons, nurses, students, practice managers, educators, and researchers.
Submissions should broadly align with at least one of MMI’s key strategic focus areas for 2025. These are:
- Veterinary Professionals’ Suicide Prevention
- Veterinary Occupational Stressors (including trauma and burnout)
- Mental Health in Veterinary Education
- Veterinary Workplace Leadership and Mental Health
- Veterinary Professionals’ Mental Health and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
In order to submit a poster presentation abstract please use the MMI abstract guide which includes information on the submission process and entry criteria.
For more information about the symposium and how to submit an abstract, please visit the Mind Matters website, where the abstract submission guide and submission forms are available to download.
All abstract submissions must be completed and sent via email to [email protected] by 11.59pm on Friday 4 April 2025.
