CPD course for overseas vets
23 May 2013
We’ve joined forces once again with the British Veterinary Association (BVA) and the Veterinary Defence Society (VDS) to offer a two-day course for overseas vets who are new to working in the UK or contemplating working here.
An ‘Introduction to the UK veterinary profession – an essential CPD course for overseas vets’ takes place on 18 and 19 June at the headquarters of the BVA in central London.
Our collaboration with BVA and VDS seeks to equip overseas vets with key information and skills required to practise as a veterinary surgeon in the UK.
Working in a foreign country can present many challenges so this course aims to provide guidance and support to overseas vets, thus improving their UK experience.
During the two-day course, participants will be able to attend a variety of talks and work groups aimed at providing a better understanding of the requirements of veterinary practice in the UK, improving communications skills and confidence and reducing the risk of becoming the subject of a complaint.
There will be plenty of opportunity for attendees to ask questions and vets can choose to attend either one or both of the modules.
For further information or to book a place, visit the BVA website.
Those who are unable to attend the CPD course in June, have the opportunity to attend another course planned for 27 – 28 November.
