Congratulations to RVC on national award win
9 December 2011
We would like to congratulate the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) upon its success in this year’s Times Higher Education Awards, where it was the winner in the category of ‘UK Higher Education Institution with the Most Improved Student Experience’.
“As a former graduate and later faculty member of the RVC, I am immensely proud to see how my alma mater is leading the way,” said the RCVS President, Dr Jerry Davies.
In this award category, the winner is decided by asking undergraduate students to rate their own universities.
Some 14,000 students were polled, with the RVC moving up 37 places in the league table compared with the previous year.
"This award is testament to the commitment of all at the RVC to ensuring our students have the richest and most rewarding experience in their time studying with us,” says Professor Stuart Reid (pictured), RVC Principal and Chairman of the RCVS Education Policy and Specialisation Committee .
“To move up 37 places in the ranking and be acknowledged as the overall winner of the most improved student experience award is fantastic, and I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this achievement.
"And, most importantly of all, I thank our students for voting their College number one."
