Come and find us at BSAVA Congress 2023
28 February 2023
The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) will once again be returning to the annual British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) Congress, taking place in Manchester from Thursday 23 March – Saturday 26 March 2023.
On the stand, we are introducing a new ‘Learning Zone’ where we will be hosting regular quick-fire talks to give delegates the chance to learn more about current RCVS projects in a concise, engaging and easily digestible manner. Talk topics include The Academy, 1CPD and VetGDP, our new EMS policy, recently approved changes to our under care guidance, and information on the Practice Standards Scheme (PSS).
As usual, staff will be available on the stand for the duration of the congress to assist with any queries.
Meanwhile, off the stand, on Friday 24 March in the Exchange Auditorium, our Mind Matters Initiative (MMI) will be heading up the neurodiversity stream consisting of a number of panel discussions and information sessions aimed at promoting a greater understanding of neurodivergence within the veterinary community. Sessions include:
- An introduction to neurodiversity
- Neurodiversity & Integration: bridging two worlds (Keynote)
- Neurodiversity: the challenges of diagnosis
- Inclusive communication in neurodivergent teams
- Supporting neurodiversity
- Moving forward: how can we cultivate more inclusive working?
MMI have also helped to create the programme for the Wellbeing Zone which will be located in the exhibition hall. They will be running three sessions:
- Thursday 23 March, 12:00pm – 12:45pm - Community considerations: supporting MHFAiders
- Thursday 23 March, 3:45pm – 4:30pm - Understanding hormones: busting the myths we learnt at school?
- Friday 24 March, 3:45pm – 4:30pm - Learning to work with grief
