RCVS Academy Update: February 2024

National Leadership Day

February has been a busy month at the RCVS Academy - we celebrated our love of learning for Valentine’s Day and 20 February marked National Leadership Day where we recognised the importance of leadership in our day-to-day roles. National Leadership Day is a reminder that there is a leader within us all as veterinary professionals.

The RCVS Academy has an entire category dedicated to Leadership and Coaching where you will find courses such as 'Clinical Supervisor,' 'VetGDP Adviser,' 'Principles of delegation,' and 'Leadership vs management.'

Leadership vs management is a short 45-minute course to help you identify situations that demonstrate when you are leading versus when you are managing, and to consider your style, approach, and how you might develop this.

A good leader not only leads but inspires those around them to be the best versions of themselves. If you are involved in other leadership roles such as being a Clinical Supervisor or a VetGDP Adviser, the Academy has courses to support you in these roles and equip you with the knowledge and skills to lead and support your student or graduate.

Why not develop your leadership skills by completing an Academy course? They are all free and count towards your annual CPD requirements.
