RCVS Academy update - August 2024

This summer has been an exciting and productive time for the RCVS Academy, with new courses launched and more on the way. Amongst these is our newly launched ‘Mentorship’ course.

The Mentorship course equips you with the essential knowledge and skills to support, guide, and lead others in their professional development. It is designed for all members of the veterinary team, whether you are mentoring a colleague just starting their career or someone further along in their professional journey. Whether you are new to mentorship or have years of experience, this course offers valuable tools and techniques that can be applied across a variety of clinical and non-clinical settings.

The course contains four modules:

• Being a mentor;
• relationship-building;
• supporting development; and,
• career-stage mentoring.

Each module features a range of learning activities designed for you to access at any time to fit around your schedule. Course completion will take around three hours and can be recorded on 1CPD, contributing to your annual CPD requirements.
