Opening times: 12:30 - 13:30
Venue: Online
Details
We’re holding an online interactive workshop to provide you with an overview of the Veterinary Graduate Development Programme, or VetGDP.
Whether you are already supporting a new graduate in your practice or workplace, or are about to start we know you may have questions so we’re here to help. We’re also inviting graduates who are enrolled onto the VetGDP to attend a comparable workshop.
The focus of the workshop is providing practical, hands-on guidance to ensure you can support the graduate(s) in your practice or workplace with confidence.
The session will include:
- A step by step guide that you, your graduate and the senior vet at your practice or workplace will need to follow in order to get going with VetGDP;
- A demonstration of the VetGDP e-portfolio to help you make the most of the features as you support your graduate;
- A reminder of the roles and responsibilities of the senior vet in your workplace and of your graduate in ensuring you can provide support to them to successfully progress through theVetGDP;
- An overview of Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) that graduates will select that are appropriate to their role.
The session will be interactive and there will be a significant portion of time given over to Q&As. RCVS Director of Education Dr Linda Prescott-Clements will be hosting the workshop alongside the Chair of Education Committee, Dr Sue Paterson FRCVS, and will be available to answer any questions you may have. You will be able to submit questions live during the event and you can also submit questions as you register for the workshop.
Workshop Information:
- The workshop is free to attend.
- Don’t forget, you can count this towards your CPD.
- We will be holding more workshops in the future if this date isn't suitable.
