Join the MMI Team and our amazing guests for an informal delve into themes and topics that matter to the veterinary community. Open to all, these free online panel sessions offer a chance to pause, reflect and learn from our guests’ experiences of navigating life and work during Covid-19.
How can we remain connected in a time of necessary separation? For our first Campfire Chat we are delighted to welcome a few familiar faces to discuss their experiences and challenges in fostering togetherness, celebrating community and beating isolation.

Ben Sweeney MRCVS
Ben qualified from Liverpool vet school in 2008 and pursued an equine career until a shift to companion animal medicine in 2013.
In 2015 he started locuming and set up Simply Locums in 2016. He has hosted webinars, podcasts and interviews with Webinar Vet, reaching a wide audience from across the veterinary professions.
Ebony Escalona MRCVS
Ebony is a GP equine vet, vetmed educator, and mentor. She focuses on unlocking people’s potential and building confidence in others through her advisory positions with the Veterinary Defence Society Training team and veterinary congresses.
She is the founder of the global online support platform Vets: Stay, Go or Diversify bringing over 12,000 members together for peer to peer inspiration for career pathways within and beyond the profession. She became fascinated with the power of social media as a communication tool and has helped other businesses and charities harness this channel of communication.
Ebony is also on the executive board of StreetVet and a visiting lecturer at Surrey University. Ebony was the recipient of the inaugural RCVS Inspiration Award.
Jane Davidson RVN
Jane is a Kent based vet nurse, writer and educator who writes to educate and support vets, vet nurses and pet owners.
Currently she is undertaking a PhD on the effects of the original veterinary legislation. She has moved up the coast and is doing her #PhDbytheSea
She is the most popular blogger/vlogger in her industry and runs the award winning online community #planetrvn
