Details
Thanks to everyone who popped by our stand and played our ViVet Innovation Game!
We had a busy time at Congress promoting ViVet the network for veterinary innovation and also held the following talks:
Thursday 16 November
Vet Futures sessions:
15.40- 17.00: 'What will we need from tomorrow's vets?' The session included an update on our Graduate Outcomes project.
Friday 17 November
Mind Matters:
09.30-10.50: 'We are how we vet – adapting to our environments and coping with errors'.
The session covered the sensitive concept of ‘second victim syndrome’, which is well recognised in the medical profession to explain feelings of guilt and frustration associated with medical error.
Brexit and beyond:
11.10-12.10: 'Brexit and the veterinary profession'. What happens next in Brexit negotiations.
15.40-17.00: 'Veterinary Surgeons Act: an open and shut case?' We will examine the arguments for and against new legislation.
