Informal drop-in session for VetGDP Advisers - 26 October 2021
Date: Tuesday 26th October 2021
Opening times: 12:30 - 13:30
Venue: Online
Details
Over the coming weeks we’ll be running online informal drop-in sessions for VetGDP Advisers. Whether you have already started supporting a graduate in your workplace as they progress through the VetGDP, or are about to start, you are welcome to join us if you can.
They will take place every fortnight, and the aim is to provide a forum for you to:
- Discuss common themes and work through new situations you come across as you are providing support to graduates in your practice or workplace
- Share issues you encounter that would be helpful to discuss with others, and perhaps obtain input and feedback
- Resolve questions that either you or your graduate may have about the VetGDP, including the e-portfolio that is available for you to use.
No question or issue is too big or small to discuss – we are keen to facilitate sharing of best practice and provide an opportunity to help you solve problems that may come up.
Privacy
So that we can provide a forum for open and inclusive discussion, these sessions will not be recorded. We would like to run them according to the Chatham House rule: share the information you receive but do not reveal the identity of who said it.
While it isn’t essential for you to pre-register to attend these sessions, it may be helpful for you to do so, not least because the registration generates a date for your calendar. There is also the option to submit a question which we can make sure to answer during the session.
Please note: these sessions are for VetGDP Advisers only – we’re running comparable sessions for graduates enrolled onto the VetGDP.

The drop-in sessions will be held on
- Tuesday 26 October -12:30 - 13:30
- Tuesday 9 November -12:30 - 13:30
- Tuesday 23 November - 12:30 - 13:30
Once we have completed the initial three drop-in sessions, we will review and then schedule further sessions according to attendance and frequency required.
