Academy Live: What do RVNs want to see in the future of the profession?

Academy Live: What do RVNs want to see in the future of the profession?

Date: Wednesday 28th May 2025

Opening times: 13:00 - 13:45

Venue: Online

Details

During 2024, the VN Vision events sought the views of veterinary nurses on their aspirations for the future of veterinary healthcare, the steps we need to take to prepare for this, and the role that RVNs will have in this picture.

The overwhelming consensus was that veterinary nurses desire and deserve a higher level of autonomy and clinical responsibility, and that this would positively affect accessibility to veterinary care, the client experience, and role satisfaction of both vets and nurses.

During this session we will share some of the findings of this scoping work, including some of the key themes that emerged.

We will also begin to explore together how we can advance both the cultural and practical aspects of ensuring that RVNs are effectively embedded into a team-based healthcare approach.
