Academy Live: Tackling tutorials

Details
This Academy live session will focus on tutorials. Conducting tutorials with your students is an integral part of the Clinical Supervisor role. Tutorials are the framework of a student's development plan enabling areas of focus to be identified and providing time for any difficulties to be addressed.
This session will explore the importance and purpose of tutorials, support you to prepare for tutorials and discuss how to set SMART targets. This session is designed to be both engaging and informative, offering plenty of opportunities for participants to ask questions throughout.
Who is this session for?
- This Academy session is aimed at new and existing Clinical Supervisors, those considering becoming a Clinical Supervisor, IQAs, SVNs and those working at veterinary nursing training providers
Learning outcomes
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Identify the purpose and importance of tutorials
- Prepare appropriately for tutorials
- Conduct effective tutorials to include setting SMART targets
Session Speakers
Jasmine Curtis RVN, Sophie Geake RVN, Tori Thornton RVN, -RCVS Qualification Assessors
Jasmine, Sophie and Tori are key members of the VN team at the RCVS, serving as Qualification Assessors. Collectively, they bring 48 years of experience as RVNs, with backgrounds in both small animal and equine practice. Prior to joining the RCVS, they have all worked in veterinary practice and education. Their primary responsibility is to uphold and maintain the standards of veterinary nursing education.
