What does it take to be a good clinical supervisor?

This Academy Live session offers an overview of the key roles and responsibilities of a clinical supervisor, while also examining the skills and qualities necessary to succeed in the role. Clinical supervisors play a crucial role in guiding student veterinary nurses throughout their learning journey. This session is designed to be both engaging and informative, offering plenty of opportunities for participants to ask questions throughout.

Learning Outcomes

  • Appreciate the essential skills required to be a good Clinical Supervisor 

Session Speakers

Jasmine Curtis RVN, Sophie Geake RVN, Tori Thornton RVN

Jasmine, Sophie and Tori are key members of the VN team at the RCVS, serving as Qualification Assessors. Collectively, they bring 48 years of experience as RVNs, with backgrounds in both small animal and equine practice. Prior to joining the RCVS, they have all worked in veterinary practice and education. Their primary responsibility is to uphold and maintain the standards of veterinary nursing education.
