Learn about the value of mentorship and identify the key characteristics and skills to help you begin your journey as a mentor.
Who is this for:
This session is for Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses.
This session is designed to be interactive and developmental – there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and engage with your peers.
Learning outcomes:
- Define mentorship and its value in the veterinary profession
- Identify key characteristics of a mentor
- Explore the skills of a mentor in the workplace
Session speaker
Jennifer Ayers BSc(Hons) RVN Assoc CIPD, RCVS Head of Academy
Jen is a learning and development professional and RVN who has worked in clinical practice, public education and lecturing before focusing on professional learning and development where she has been working for over ten years. As a keen advocate for continued workplace learning, Jen highly values peer-to-peer learning, sharing skills and the role of mentorship in professional development.
