Biography

After graduating from Liverpool University in 1977 Trevor spent a period in mixed practice in Leicester before returning to Liverpool as a lecturer in veterinary pathology. He left academia to set up a diagnostic histopathology unit in a general diagnostic laboratory.
Trevor then established Abbey veterinary services, the first independent diagnostic specialist histopathology and cytopathology laboratory in the UK to eventually become the largest specialist veterinary laboratory in Europe.
He has a specialist interest in dermatopathology and has been heavily involved in developing veterinary dermatology in the UK and Europe first as board member and treasurer of the BVD SG and subsequently with a similar role in the E SVD. These 2 organisations have been the major drivers of veterinary dermatology in the UK and Europe.
Veterinary pathology has been integral in the development of veterinary dermatology and to develop this symbiosis he has extensively contributed to dermatology meetings and to publications.
He is an RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Pathology and a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Pathology.
