Biography
Professor Tim Morris has a broad perspective and knowledge base in relation to veterinary medicine, pharmaceuticals, education, regulation, animal welfare and research. This is underpinned by veterinary training, work in veterinary practice, a PhD, research and regulatory experience and involvement in higher education.
His expertise is combined with commercial and leadership experience, having worked nationally and internationally in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, animal research and sports regulators, professional and industry groups, and governments.
He understands operating organisations from his own business, Trusteeships and Directorships. This experience has given him an extensive professional network across the veterinary profession, commerce, non profit groups, academia and government.
He has a record of independently leading in a professional and collaborative style across the commercial, non-commercial, governmental and charity sectors to achieve pragmatic, realistic outputs that are widely accepted.
He has chaired several companies limited by guarantee and charities. His work has involved communication, presenting scientific and ethical issues to specialist and general audiences and national and international print and broadcast media.
He has wide experience of public affairs and regularly interact with parliamentarians, officials and Ministers/Commissioners, in the UK, devolved administrations and in the EU.
