Biography
A 1976 Liverpool graduate, MSc in Aquatic Veterinary Studies from Stirling University, FRCVS in Psittacine Medicine & Surgery. RCVS Recognised Specialist in Zoo & Wildlife Medicine and in Fish Health & Production.
Worked with fish farmers, zoos and exotics owners for 40 years.
A DEFRA appointed zoo & circus inspector, the former for 30 years. Wide experience - Pharma, nutrition and film (worked on 101 Dalmatians, 102 Dalmatians, Fierce Creatures, Batman Begins, Harry Potter).
Member and trustee of Companion Animal Welfare Council (CAWC) and the DEFRA England Implementation Group (EIG). Worked with the pet trade through CASC, The Pet Charity and PIF.
Commercial experience in establishing and operating his own companies including Vetark Professional and petDetect.
