Biography
Kieran graduated from the University of Bristol in 2005, then worked in primary care practice for 6-years, where he developed a strong interest in cardiology and completed the CertVC in 2010. Following this, he undertook a Residency in Cardiology at the Royal Vet College (London) and became a Diplomate of the American and European Colleges of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2014. He has worked as a Specialist in private referral practice and a veterinary teaching hospital since then, using advanced diagnostic imaging techniques and pioneering novel interventional procedures in order to maximise what can be achieved for his patients. He is an active clinical researcher, having published widely on a number of cardiology topics, and has supervised post-graduate students in clinical and research-based disciplines. He is an internationally renowned speaker and module lead for a number of online courses in cardiology. Kieran is active on social media to promote cardiology micro-CPD learning for vets, nurses and students all over the world and has over 11,000 followers on Instagram (@vet_cardio_). In 2023, he is co-creator and presenter-producer of The Animal Heartbeat, the only podcast dedicated to veterinary cardiology.
